Our Turn

My mate awoke this day and said;
The nine to five life I've led
To feed my family daily bread
Should be brought to it's end.

Take the watch and set the time,
Dedicated to my prime,
Leave the ladder I did climb,
Use the time to mend.

Our turn has come, it's time to pack.
Time to rest my weary back.
No more schedule, no more flack.
We'll hit the road and roam.

"Start her up" as they say.
No more reason to delay.
It's finally now our time to play.
The highways now our home.
