Failed

I held on as long as I could
But the wheel kept turning faster and faster.
My legs, hands, feet and mind
Gripped reality to its end but one by one
failed.

The world spinning so fast,
A gleaming chrome apparition attacked my vision as
sky, asphalt, sky, asphalt, sky, asphalt flashed
through my retinas, optic nerves and into my
reason.

Flight was haphazard, helter-skelter, confused.
I rocketed as I reached escape velocity leaving
an appendage stubbornly holding the black rubber argument
that gravity means nothing to a
bug.
